Spotted; Santa Clause! August 24th in...Croatia?
Yes! The best celebrity sighting ever! I was lucky enough to run into Mr. Clause on my way to pick up my ferry tickets.

That was definitely a highlight.
I also saw a kitten in a bush.
Croatia was beautiful and charming; Split was better than I expected. Dometian's Palace was enormous and took my breath away.
The beach was lovely, even with the pre-teen boys throwing wet sand clumps at my head and me flipping them off in retaliation.
It was wonderful to get away and be alone, if only for a couple days. I also read three books in three days.
I hunger for it! I would love to expand my vocabulary past "free shots," "20 euros," and "open bar." I can only imagine the difficulty Carly is having back at uni.
Ick!
I was not, however, impressed with Croatian food nor tea. I got in at 7am, and decided to have a cuppa next to the water.

Just as I was thinking to myself, "Wow, this is terrible tea!" I looked down and saw the tea label, which said 'The Best Tea.'

You'll need to do a little more than that! Ha!
Definitely a good way to relax. I stayed at the Beach Hostel, which was nice because it's brand new, by the beach, and run by a cool dude. I would recommend it to anyone.
I also found a juice bar with some vegetarian wraps, which I will hit up next time I meander to Split.
The Zara there is fantastically gargantuan as well.
Danger, Will Robinson!
Unfortunately, I did not bring my big camera with me, and I only had my little guy whe I arrived and when I left.
Here are the pictures I did take; and all you skaters out there, notice how smooth everything is and how random marble benches and hits come out of nowhere! Fun!

Interesting things in Ancona....

Oh, Ps; there is a 'cat man' who walks past my apartment every day at 6 PM herding about 20 cats with him...doesn't that remind you of a certain someone, a piccolo, and mice?
Although this particular man's instrument is his sharp, 'catty' [haha] whistle. Today he only had seven cats with him,
and they were struggling to keep up. He must have been in some kind of hurry......
