Truckee Safeway evacuated as police investigate bomb threat
Truckee police have evacuated a Safeway store and some surrounding businesses on Donner Pass Road this evening as they investigate a bomb threat, an employee at a nearby coffee shop confirmed.
Police were blocking people out from entering the parking lot, the employee said.
The Sierra Sun newspaper Web site had reported that a threat was called in about 5:20 p.m. The store had been reopened by 8 p.m.
