So yesterday, Jo and Adrienne decided to finally go grocery shopping, because they never have food. They even made a list. The girls drove to Safeway, ecstatic to have a spot right in the front, especially since it's always crowded, ran to the door only to be yelled at by several police officers.
Why, you ask?
Someone called in a bomb threat to the Truckee Safeway.
Yes, a bomb threat.

Truckee Safeway evacuated as police investigate bomb threat

STAFF REPORT • March 10, 2009

Truckee police have evacuated a Safeway store and some surrounding businesses on Donner Pass Road this evening as they investigate a bomb threat, an employee at a nearby coffee shop confirmed.

Police were blocking people out from entering the parking lot, the employee said.

The Sierra Sun newspaper Web site had reported that a threat was called in about 5:20 p.m. The store had been reopened by 8 p.m.

No further information is available at this time.
