Yesterday I decided to get tv.
I don't like watching tv, and I don't miss it when I don't have it.
HOWEVER, I came across an ad for a bunch of satellite tv channels for 20 bucks a month, including Discovery, History, Travel and Cartoon Network, and equipment leasing is free.
The fact that I do have guests, and sometimes there is a show I want to watch [which currently I can't watch online because Suddenlink SUCKS and won't set up internet at the house], I decided to jump on the wagon.
Can I just tell you that my phone conversation was 31 minutes and 15 seconds? This guy, who sounded like he was from Tennessee and was obviously very lonely [maybe because he's been a phone operator for Dish Network for 8 years, he told me] would not shut up. I was holding the phone away from my ear, and then when I had questions, he'd interrupt me for some inane little story. I was seriously miserable on the phone. I don't even like phones. And why is everyone from Tennessee so weird? I almost canceled the whole thing after about 10 minutes, but he'd already charged me.
I'll never sign up for a contract type deal without all the information and fine print completely clear, and I did not want to give my SS#. I asked a couple questions about the DVR thing, tried to get out of having it, and he laughed at me for never having had satellite TV before. I'm sorry Lonely Man, I am obviously not as cool as you and your TV knowledge. I prefer books. So sue me.
Hahahaha.
Anyways, they're installing it today, which I must give them props for. Twenty four hours? Please learn about this, Suddenlink. Twenty four hours is a whole lot better than 2+ weeks and waiting. I have to be with the installation guy for two hours, then Annie and I are going to pump some iron at Northstar and hot tub it a bit.
I'm sorry for any of you who are reading this completely pointless blog post.
I did see a picture of 'jovial' Jeremy's balls on the pot at the bar last night, which was gross. Everyone always insists on showing me gross things! Oh, and Andy's kitten keeps running to me, jumping on my shoulders/lap, farting, and running away.
Gotta love kitten sitting :)
I get my air hockey table on Tuesday [yes!], my couches on Wednesday [double yes!], and hopefully I'll start working at Northstar soon [yes yes yes!!]
Life is beautiful...
